REDUCTION OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION BY RECOVERING RESIDUAL HEAT IN THE KILN.

CERACASA, through the SAVINGS AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN THE INDUSTRY IN12 program, has obtained financial support from IVACE, for a total amount of € 15,331, for the implementation of a residual heat recovering system from the kiln with the aim of reducing the energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

The ceramic industry is an intensively consuming natural gas industry, most of which occurs during the firing cycle. With the execution of this project, we managed to take advantage of part of the heat emitted during this stage to increase combustion efficiency and thereby guarantee savings in natural gas consumption and the reduction of these emissions.
