This association is a benchmark in bringing together several companies from different sectors.
CERACASA IS CO-FOUNDER OF THE IBERIC PHOTOCATALYSIS ASSOCIATION

Currently the major Spanish cities and towns around them exceed the annual average concentration limit of NOx allowed (40 micrograms/m3).

This high pollution must be reduced by limiting the actions of traffic impact as well as industrial emissions, but you can decontaminate the air by useing building materials in buildings that can make the photocatalyst in a simple way, destroying harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx).

On May 6, was founded the Iberic Photocatalysis Association (AIF), CERACASA as a co-founder, thanks to its photocatalytic BIONICTILE product, along with other manufacturers of raw materials with other products with similar functions.

ogether with CERACASA, have been also co-foundersof the AIF: BREINCO (exterior pavement), Icopal (buildings covers), FMC-Foret (raw materials) and PROBISA (asphalt). It is planned that shortly new companies will join the association also institutions and individuals interested in these tipe of products.

AIF functions will include: identifying and join agents, researchers and industrialists who are working in the field of photocatalysis, providing information to prescribers, to the administration and public departments in general and boosting the use of these products in the "green" construction.

From all these concepts arises the idea of "Photocatalytic Island," a set of buildings within a city tha tfor the sum of different decontamination materials is capable of decontaminating large quantities of NOx.

This innovative concept will be presented at CONSTRUMAT (Barcelona, May 16-21) on May 17th in a panel discussion moderated by journalist Luis Guijarro and with the participation of:
-Mr. Fabrice Pérez President of AIF.
-Mrs. Maj-Britt, Lark ADG Abellán Deputy Director of Air Quality and Industrial Environment. Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Government of Spain.
-Mr. Hermenegildo García Professor of Organic Chemistry in the ITQ-UPV
-Mr. Carles Sala i Roca Secretary d'Housing of the Generalitat de Catalunya
-Mr. Juli Capella, Architect and designer.
-Ms Maria Jesus Diaz Gonzalez architect and President of ASA
-Mr. Fran Raya, Director of Marketing and Product of CERACASA

It is expected that a large audence will attend to this event, and will be announced the foundation of the new Iberic Association of Photocatalysis and some of its activities. CERACASA will actively participate in defining the new architecture of the next few years where the respect and protection of the environment is the main shaft.
