The process used the ceramic tiles BIONICTILE® by CERACASA, transforms by catalysis the molecules of nitrogen oxyde (NOx) –emited by the automobiles and the heavy industries, responsibles of the acid rain, pulmonary diseases, irritations and also the climate change– in nitrogen compounds innocuous, due to the action of the U.V. rays on the solar radiation.
This product keeps indefinitely his activity because of the strenghtheners assimilated in the glaze composition.
The nitrates inerts on the surface BIONICTILE® can clean themselves easily and simply with the rain, fog or high humidity, leaving the surface ready to destroy again the NOx on the air.
| | | After months of investigation, the firm CERACASA, with a FMC FORET and the Institute of Chemical Technology from the Valencia Polytechnic University (Spain), have demonstrated their commitment with the environment obtaining a ceramic product stable that keeps it properties of decomposition of NOx through the time, indefinitely.
One square meter of BIONICTILE® by CERACASA is able to decompose 31.2 mg of NOx each hour.
An urban core with 200 buildings all of them recovered with around 3000 sqm of BIONICTILE® by CERACASA, will remove from the air around 82 Tn of NOx each year. This is a really revolutionary concept in the ceramic products that becomes the best ally of any architectural project steady and respectful with the environment.
