CERACASA IS AWARDED THE “ONDA-CERO COMPANY” PRIZE FOR BIONICTILE
Commitment to Innovation has been the key for BIONICTILE.

The 7th Onda Cero Prize has awarded CERACASA a prize in the BUSINESS category for the product recently presented at CEVISAMA 2009, namely BIONICTILE.

This ceramic product provides an innovative way to continuously purify city air simply by covering the facades of buildings with a special ceramic. Sun rays and water do the rest by decomposing harmful NOx in the air. According to studies carried out by the Polytechnic University of Valencia, BIONICTILE manages to decompose 32mg of NOx per m2 per hour.

The jury considered that this product possesses the innovative qualities and meets all the requirements which define the development process, commitment and business ethics necessary in today’s companies.

The VI National Special Olympics in the category of social integration, The ‘Pelegrins de les Useres’, in culturel and traditions and the pilot Alex Debón from Castellon in sport will be distinguished on 28 May at the Teatro Principal in Castellon during the VIII Onda Cero Castellon prizes.

Castellon Port was awarded for organising the arrival of tourist cruises to Castellon in this eighth Edition of the prizes organised by the Castellon radio station.
The first ‘Año Mariano de Lledó’, Adicas – the Castellon Diabetics Association and the ‘Art Night’ were worthy, in the jury’s opinion, of the prizes in the categories of ‘Fiestas’, Health and Art. The Onda Cero prize in the economy category went to The Castellon Association of Wine Producers and the prize for community care, to the Hospitals of Castellon.

The jury also recognised the ‘Friendly’ between Zucaina-SanVicente de Piedrahita with the Onda Cero prize for neighbourhood relations and the Censal Public school for its 25 year history of schooling in Valenciano, for education. In the music category The municipal school ofDolçaina i Tabal from Castellón and in road safety, the Road Traffic Accident Simulator from the Department General of Labour, Co-operatives and Social Economy of The Generalitat.

The spokesperson for the jury and director of Onda Cero Castellon, Juan Carlos Enrique, reiterated that the Onda Cero Prizes have always tried to reflect the widest section of our society. In addition to rewarding those who habitually receive praise, the awards also serve to recognise the work of small collectives and individuals whose activity often goes unnoticed.

The awards gala for the VIII Onda Cero Castellon prizes was held last Thursday 28th May in the ‘Teatro Principal’ in Castellon with the aim of giving the general public the chance to pay homage to the award winners.

The journalist Lorena Pardo hosted the ceremony and gave out the awards.
